Description

The SmartyCam 3 Sport is a solid-state 1920x1080P HD digital video camera that can be used as a stand-alone camera or connected to an AiM data logger for brilliant videos with data overlay. All of the information from the data logger can be overlaid on screen and recorded as part of the video footage -- no syncing necessary later.

As a stand-alone camera, the SmartyCam 3 records brilliant, wave-free 1920x1080P HD racing videos. Connect the SmartyCam 3 to an AiM data logger (anything from a Solo2 DL or MyChron5 to an EVO5 logger -- or choose the version with a powered CAN hub to add a GPS09 Module) and you can expand the overlay to include information from those sources.

When connected to a GPS09 Module (sold separately) or to a GPS-enabled logger, the GPS data gets embedded in the video file as well. When you import the data file and the video file into RaceStudio 3, the two files will automatically sync so you can see WHAT happened, exactly WHEN it happened. No more guessing about whether the driver caused something to happen, or if the driver reacted to something happening!

Full internal datalogger
All data received from the CAN bus and from the internal sensors are recorded in .mp4 files produced at the end of your test, your SD (or MSD) Card contains all the information you need for a deep data analysis.

Automatic Start & Stop
You have other things to think about while you are racing and SmartyCam 3 is aware of that.
That is why it switches on/off automatically and starts/stops recording in the same way.

No "Wave Effect" with Global Shutter CMOS
Engine rumble causes vibrations, which are a big problem for video recording. You will never experience again that seasick “wave effect” you get watching videos recorded by a generic camera when the car rolls at 7,000 RPM.
SmartyCam 3 cameras have been designed for that environment and for those vibrations.
“Wave effect” is just a distant memory.

High quality with small size video files
Generic HD cameras are focused on the highest pixels number. The result is that their video files are far too large, taking too much memory; for this reason SmartyCam 3 videos have the same quality as other FHD cameras but their files are smaller because the H.264 compression system parameters have been optimized to perfectly balance video quality and file size.
